UFC 319 isn’t just headlined by Dricus Du Plessis vs. Khamzat Chimaev — it’s also stacked with UFC 319 fighters over 37. Eight seasoned competitors, each 37 or older, step into high-stakes matchups that could prove experience still matters in the cage.

In the middleweight feature, Jared Cannonier (3-2 in his last five) meets Michael “Venom” Page (2-1 in the UFC since joining from Bellator in 2024, one of just three career losses). Cannonier’s raw knockout power meets Page’s slick, unconventional striking in a fight that could end suddenly.

Bobby “King” Green (2-3) faces Diego Ferreira (2-3) in a lightweight scrap between two durable veterans who’ve faced a who’s who of contenders. Expect speed, pressure, and plenty of trash talk from Green.

Featherweight veteran Edson Barboza (2-3) returns against Drakkar Klose (4-1, his only recent loss to Joel Alvarez). Barboza’s kicks remain among the most feared in MMA, while Klose brings a grinding, wrestling-heavy style. Fun fact: Barboza’s last loss came to Lerone Murphy — who’s fighting Aaron Pico right before the co-main.

At flyweight, Tim Elliott (3-2) takes on former Rizin champion Kai Asakura, testing whether his relentless pace can overcome Asakura’s fast, precise offense. Asakuras only UFC fight was this past December for the Flyweight Championship versus Alexandre Pantoja. He was able to show some offense but lost to the champ in the second round via submission.

Middleweight submission ace Gerald Meerschaert (2-3, recent losses to Reinier de Ridder and Brad Tavares) meets dangerous striker Michal Oleksiejczuk in a classic grappler-vs-striker clash. Michal

These veterans aren’t just filling spots — they’re still dangerous enough to derail rising talent. In a sport that often sees fighters fade before their late 30s, UFC 319 is a showcase of longevity, adaptation, and the kind of fight IQ you can’t buy.

Will the UFC 319 fighters over 37 show that their experience is an underestimated asset, or will the younger, faster fighters prove that speed is something you can’t afford to lose in the sport’s highest promotion?
